Objective:
This session will demonstrate, through practical & physical
exercises, the need for treating clients as much as possible in a fair and equitable
manner by giving special attention to basic environmental and ergonomics considerations
in training which may affect the learning process effectiveness and peer learning
dynamism.
For this session, we recommend you wear comfortable outfit/clothing
suitable for a physical exercise (i.e., shorts, T-shirt, sweatsuit, sneakers,
etc.) as you WILL SWEAT during this session.
During this Session, we will do the following activities:
- Planning & Designing the Most Client-Friendly Workshop/Training
Room Configuration
(20 minutes):
- Work in a Peer Learning Group (PLG) with 5-7 members
- Your PLG needs to think through the best/most appropriate ergonomic and client-oriented
design for the workshop seating arrangements for 22-24 participants in the room
- Prepare a specific plan and the main reasons why such seating design/configuration is preferred
- Physically Set-Up the Chairs, Tables, & AV equipment based
on/according to your preferred design/configuration (15 minutes
per PLG)
The chairs, tables and necessary AV equipment will be provided in the room
(only those with a bad back, arthritis, heart problems, and other related illness,
will be exempted from moving the tables & chairs!!)

Debriefing (25 minutes)
During the debriefing, we will analyze the following aspects:
- Rationale & justifications for your preferred design
- Reflections on the problems with your preferred design
- Lessons learned from the session in terms of
- designing client-friendly workshop seating arrangements
- improving customer care & client service in training
