Some Important Indonesian Words


Numbers:
1 = satu
2 = dua
3 = tiga
4 = empat
5 = lima

  6 = enam
  7 = tujuh
  8 = delapan
  9 = sembilan
10 = sepuluh
To say numbers higher than ten, what you need to learn are the following:
se (one), belas (teens), puluh (tens), ratus (hundreds), ribu (thousands)

Useful Words and Phrases:

Ya = Yes
Tidak = No
Silakan = Please
Maaf = Sorry/pardon me
Bagus = Good/fine
Permisi = Excuse me
Kembali/sama-sama = You're welcome
Selamat pagi = Good morning
Selamat siang = Good afternoon
Selamat sore = Good evening
Selamat malam = Good night
Apa kabar? = How are you?
Baik-baik saja = I'm fine
Siapa nama anda? = What's your name?
Nama saya... = My name is...
