Dr. Yoke Lim KHOR

Dr. Yoke Lim Khor is an Associate Professor and currently the Head of the Persuasive Section of the School of Communication, University Science Malaysia (USM). In 1996 to 2001, during her appointment as the school's Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies, she initiated and spearheaded three graduate programs which are currently being implemented. She was also the co-coordinator of the ITQ-4 Workshop, 2002.

Her research and training focus include health promotion, communication and ethnicity, and agriculture. She has served as consultant to several national and international agencies such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, World Health Organization, and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations where she was sent on missions to train agriculture officers on Strategic Extension Campaign in Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, China and Malaysia.

She obtained her M.A. in Communication from the University of the Philippines and Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Malaya.
