Dr. Sanjaya MISHRA Workshop Online Learning
CoordinatorWorkshop Facilitator and Lead Presenter Dr. Sanjaya Mishra is presently a Programme Officer at the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), based in New Delhi, India. He was a Senior Lecturer at the Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) of India from 1996 to 2001. Dr. Mishra coordinated the IGNOU's course on Communication Technology for Distance Education offered to students of Postgraduate Diploma in Distance Education. He had also served IGNOU as Assistant Regional Director at one of its Regional Centers for three years from 1993 to 1996. Recently he developed the prototype of the Online Learning Centre (http://www.rronline.org) of the Certificate Programme on Resettlement and Rehabilitation - India's first Social Science Online Programme offered by IGNOU. Dr. Mishra specializes in educational applications of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) including Web-based Learning and Multimedia Courseware Development (using Macromedia Director). Dr. Mishra holds a B.Sc. degree from Sambalpur University, India and his M.L.I.Sc, M.Phil in Library and Information Science, Ph.D. in Library and Information Science degrees from the University of Delhi, India. He has also a Master's degree in Distance Education from IGNOU and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Television Production (PGDTVP) from the University of Hyderabad, India. Dr. Mishra was a participant in the World Bank Institute's 2nd Trainers Workshop on Improving Training Quality (ITQ-2) through Peer Learning and Distance Mentoring, and has been serving as a Coach for the ITQ-4 Workshop. He also participated in the 1st International Workshop on Applying Interactive Learning Technologies (ILT-1): Practical Tools for Improving Training Quality, jointly organized by Singapore Polytechnic and the World Bank Institute.
